We are thrilled to tell you that Helsinki is an accessible and happy city :)
Happy Guide Helsinki offers responsible and specialized guided tour services in Helsinki and Southern Finland. Accessible tourism is one of our specialities. We know which attractions here in Helsinki have easy accessible entrances, we are experienced to plan routes based on accessible possibilities, we find you places to taste the local cuisine entering flexibly with your wheel chair or mobility scooter. We also work together with local accessibility associations and the cities of Helsinki Metropolitan area to show real local places: apartment buildings designed with accessible facilities and public places like libraries and municipality offices. We are also happy to use the eco-friendly and effective public transport network of Helsinki that has full accessibility powered by green energy! Our company is officially certified in 2022 being one of the #greenactivities in collaboration with the City of Helsinki and Helsinki Tourism Foundation and also in national level #sustainabletravelfinland with Business / Visit Finland |

EVERY SINGLE ACCESSIBLE TOUR IS HAPPY AND DIFFERENT!
Is your wheel chair then electric or manual - foldable or solid one piece - or the size of your mobility scooter makes you worried? No worries, there is always a comfortable option :)
We base our services on your wishes and needs:
If you travel alone or in a small party and like to sense the pulse of Helsinki like we locals live and love it our Sustainable City Tour by public transport is a great way to see the main attractions and also visit places that Helsinki-dwellers find interesting. Sustainable City Tour can be conducted as private service for maximum two people on a wheel chair / mobility scooter. The maximum group size of your party is eight.
We work together with several accessible van companies that have different sized vans accommodating up to three wheel chairs / mobility scooters together. The accessible vans have electric lifts / ramps to make it easy and comfortable to get the mobility vehicles in. But of course you can book this tour option if you just feel that your way of touring Helsinki is to use a minivan. This tour is accessible for everyone!
As standard the accessible vans have maximum capacity of 2 wheel chairs + 8 people on the seats. But we also are able to organize accessible buses and other transport vehicles for bigger parties when there is enough notice to have these special vehicles available.
Helsinki has three ports and we pick up visitors daily from them. Just let us know the name of the cruise ship and we can make you a tour suggestion!
Helsinki Airport also has full accessibility for stopover tours and also very nice new train connection to the city if you prefer the public transport experience.
Naturally private tours can also be started straight at your accommodation if you stay longer with us.
Send us an email happyguidehelsinki@gmail.com and tell when you would be here, for how long, how many of you in total in your party and what kinds of accessible services you would wish to receive and we will send you an offer in 24 hours!
